Test & Engineer

The main offices of Radio Research are located in a 300,000 square foot building in Waterbury, Connecticut as well as three other locations, and approximately 20,000 square feet of area is dedicated to test and alignment.

Component and chassis testing is accomplished by using the "main frame" or system so that there are no interface problems when the units are installed in the field.

The test facility meets all requirements of the U.S. GOVERNMENT INPECTION SYSTEM MIL-1-45208B and has been used extensively covering the requirements of many Government contracts. A complete set of modern test instruments, fully calibrated, are available for any testing requirement that may be required. In addition, an extensive library of Technical Manuals and prints are available for both electronic and mechanical rebuilding and calibration as well as new manufacture.

LABORATORY AND TEST FACILTIES
Our laboratory facilities are set up for U.S. Military DCAS test and inspection to MIL STANDARD 1-45208B.

WE HAVE MICROWAVE RF AND HIGH VOLTAGE, HIGH POWER TEST CAPABILTITIES
Radio Research has the capability to perform MICROWAVE AND HIGH VOLTAGE testing of components and systems. We are fully certified using MIL 1-45208B inspection system. Testing would be performed in our test lab which has available HF through Ka Band HIGH PWOER MICROWAVE sources in addition to PULSE MODULATOR with outputs up to 50 megawatts.

M-33/NIKE CAPABILTIES & FOLLOW-ON
MODIFIED SYSTEMS
Radio research has special testing facilities for Western Electric developed systems, such as the M-33, Nike Ajax and Hercules. Included in the facility is the Maintenance Shop I (MPM-52A). In addition to the testing and alignment capabilities, an extensive inventory of over 9000 line items is available as replacement parts. The vast majority of these parts were originally manufactured by Western Electric for U.S. Army ordinance. Also in stock are parts for many systems that were derived from either the Nike or M-33 systems such as: msq-35, 39, 44, 51 and 77, TSQ-81 and 96 and other Reeves Instrument Corporation modifications and systems such as: MPS-19, MSQ-1, MSQ-1A, Verlort, Prelort, TSQ-96, etc.

COMPLETE FACTORY NEW REFURBISHING
Our shop force is trained and equipped for the thorough "refurbishment to new" of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
